I see nothing wrong with shoes for babies at certain times. DD can walk and when she goes to the daycare at the gym I put shoes on her because I don’t want her running around barefoot. And when we go out in public I put shoes on her to keep her feet warm (we live in ND so its sort of a necessity) to look cute. She doesn’t wear shoes at home because I don’t either and would prefer to be barefoot,

That being said,
http://lawsharp.user.d-jet.com/imtemp/ta43xw08.html, she has a pair of pink and white tennis shoes (sorry I do not know the brand) and pair of black dress shoes (again sorry,
http://mengerlerboschservice.com/imtemp/ue27qc46.html, I do not know the brand but I got them at Gordmans),
http://editions-caruhel.com/imtemp/kz50ne53.html, a pair of brown and cream plaid mary janes (I believe they are Laura Ashley???) and a pair of Ugg boots which are my hands down fave. They keep her super warm and they are adorable and she and I can dress alike. She just started walking but has been cruising for a while. And unless she is on carpet she has her shoes on! On carpet she can just wear socks. But on hardwood or similar she has to have shoes with grip it’s too cold to go barefoot and I don’t want her to slip and all with just socks.
As for brands we do carters. They are super soft,

I think shoes are fine as long as they are loose fitting not too snug and have SOFT soles,
